Links from GPT Assistant opening in a new tab. Is there any way to have them open in the same tab?

The community member tried using target="_self" but it didn't work. Other community members commented that it is not customizable and questioned the reason for wanting to do this, as it would "basically leave the bot" which they didn't understand. There is no explicitly marked answer in the comments.
