Question: Passing data between typeforms

At a glance

The community member has an AI chatbot built with Typebot and wants to embed it in two places. They are wondering if a user can "log in" to a previous conversation with the chatbot, and if they can pass the Thread ID from OpenAI Assistant to keep the user logged in across the two embed locations.

In the comments, another community member suggests passing the Thread ID from Typebot to both embed locations using Zapier, and then using prefilled fields to pull in the Thread ID (leaving it empty for new users).

Another community member suggests using the Typebot block and enabling the "Merge answers" feature, which could allow checking for a variable to keep the user logged in across the two bots.

There is no explicitly marked answer in the comments.

I have an AI chatbot built with Typebot that I want to embed in two places. Can a user essentially 'log in' to a previous conversation with the typebot? I use Open AI Assistant so do have Thread ID, can I pass that from one typebot embed to the other to keep the user 'logged in' to that conversation? Thanks!

I'm thinking one way to do this is to pass the Thread ID from Typebot to both embed location data using Zapier, then use prefilled fields to pull in ThreadID (leaving it empty if it's a new user).
Hey @Amy, just a thought, have you tried using the Typebot block and switch on Merge answers? That way, I'd say you could check for the variable that you used to have the bot consider the user as "logged in", in your second bot?
