Response Limit

At a glance

A community member, Mathilde, is using Typebot for the first time and thinks it's a great tool. They want to know if there is a way to ensure that a user can only respond once to a survey and be informed if they have already participated, at least if they don't use Private browsing. Mathilde mentions using a variable "id" set in the URL. Another community member responds that this can be done with a bit of code, as Typebot doesn't support this feature directly, and provides an example. They also note that the native feature for this is being tracked on GitHub. Mathilde thanks the community member for the answer and says they will try it.

Useful resources
Hello everyone, I'm using Typebot for the first time. I think the tool is great πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚
Is there a way to ensure that a user can only respond once to the survey and eventually be informed if they have already participated (at least if they don't use Private browsing)? I don't know if it changes something but i'm using a variable "id" set in the URL.
I suppose this question has already been asked before (and I'm sorry to ask it again if so), but I couldn't find it using the keywords.
Thanks a lot for your help!

Hey Mathilde πŸ‘‹
You could actually do that with a bit of code for now as we don't support this feature directly
Here is an example:
I hope that makes sense!
As a reference, the native feature for this is tracked here: https://github.com/baptisteArno/typebot.io/issues/1300
Thank you so much for your answer. I'll try it πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚
